DESCRIPTION:Program Overview\nThinking about becoming a New York State Certified Minority or Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE)? \nRoswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Office of Employee Advocacy and Fairness is offering a free four-week NYS Certification Workshop for Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises. The program is open to businesses in any industry and is designed to help eligible business owners work through the certification process. \nThe workshop is facilitated by Geraldine Ford\, MBA\, and participants can choose from three upcoming four-week sessions in November\, December\, or January. \nFor women business owners\, MWBE certification can be an important part of positioning a business to pursue opportunities with New York State agencies and other organizations seeking certified businesses. NAWBO – Buffalo/Niagara is pleased to share this free local resource with women business owners who may be ready to take that next step. \nIs Your Business Eligible?\nAccording to Roswell Park\, businesses participating in the certification workshop should meet the following criteria: \n\nAt least 51% owned by a qualifying woman or minority owner\nIndependently owned and operated\nQualifying owner’s personal net worth is under $15 million\, adjusted for CPI\nCurrent on business tax filings\nIncorporated in New York State for at least one year\n\nChoose Your Four-Week Session\nNovember Session\nMondays: November 2\, 9\, 16 & 23 \nDecember Session\nWednesdays: December 2\, 9\, 16 & 30 \nJanuary Session\nThursdays: January 7\, 14\, 21 & 28 \nAll classes are held from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. \nLocation\n📍 Roswell Park Research Studies Center\nGaylord Cary Conference Room\n610 Elm Street\nBuffalo\, NY 14203 \nRegistration\nThere is no cost to participate.
