Attorney Lisa Coppola has been installed as president of the Buffalo Niagara chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.

Coppola, a former partner at Rupp Baase Pfalzgraf Cunningham LLC in Buffalo who now runs her own practice, succeeds Sabina Ramsey, principal of Insight International USA LLC, a creative design company in Buffalo.

According to NAWBO, Buffalo Niagara is the fastest-growing chapter in the country. Membership rose 80 percent over the past 12 months, the group said.

Coppola will pick up where Ramsey left off and try to push membership over 100. Right now, it’s in the high 80s.

“We’ll have another big membership push in September or October,” Coppola said. “I’m cautiously optimistic that we’ll get there before the end of the year.”

The Buffalo Niagara chapter of NAWBO was formed in 1994. It aims to bring together women entrepreneurs and small business owners interested in networking, mentoring and educational opportunities.
