About Sherrie:

Sherrie Barr Mack is a is a Public Affairs Strategist, third generation business owner, and Managing Partner for The MackBarr Group a public affairs firm located in Buffalo, NY. Specializing in the financial services, health care and manufacturing industry, The MackBarr Group provides strategic guidance with issue management, updates on state and federal compliance, stakeholder, and employee engagement. A graduate of the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the State University of New York in Albany, NY, Sherrie began her Public Affairs career as the Public Affairs Manager for her family business, a woman owned industrial and safety supplies company located in Buffalo, NY.

 About Rene:

Rene Petties-Jones is the President of the National Federation for Just Communities of WNY, Inc., a position she was appointed to as part of the first leadership transition in over 30 years. In addition, she currently serves as the PRSA Buffalo Niagara Chapter Diversity Chair after being involved with the committee for many years. She also serves as Diversity Chair on the board of directors for the Northeast District PRSA.
A proud UB Alum, Rene has received the May C. Randazzo Outstanding Practitioner Award from PRSA Buffalo Niagara Chapter and the Women of Influence Award, Behind the Scenes, from Buffalo Business First.
She is a former member of the Buffalo News Diversity Advisory Board, and is a vocal advocate for issues surrounding diversity and inclusion. Working as an educator, administrator, advisor, and public relations associate with a number of area non-profit organizations, she has presented numerous seminars and workshops to thousands over the years. She now dedicates her speaking engagements to issues surrounding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for which she is passionate about.
