As a past attendee of a Next Generation United event, United Way of Buffalo & Erie County invites you to join us for lunch to learn about our advocacy efforts and ways that you can get involved at the local, state and federal level.
This Lunch and Learn will offer an introduction to advocacy, explaining both what advocacy is and how advocacy fits within the goals of the United Way. Examples of how to advocate at the federal and state level will be included. In addition, participants will learn how they can help support the United Way’s advocacy efforts.
Key takeaways will include:
A range of examples of activities that may be considered advocacy
How to advocate on a national and state level
How United Way supporters can get involved with advocacy efforts
Lunch will be served at 11:30am. Seating is limited therefore an RSVP is required.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept walk-ins at this event.
