WNY Businesswomen Form Powerful New Diversity and Inclusion Task Force

“The time has come and it’s long overdue. Let’s pull some women up to the table with us.”

Buffalo, NY, May 1, 2020 – NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) is an organization rich with successful and talented businesswomen.

“The Buffalo-Niagara chapter has done an excellent job of creating a wonderful community of businesswomen.  Now we need to encourage and guide more ethnically and culturally diverse women business owners to join us,” ~ said Sherrie Barr Mack, NAWBO Buffalo Niagara President.

Local chapter president, Sherrie Barr Mack, is the powerhouse behind a new team of influential women who will kick off a “first of its kind” movement for this chapter.

She will be joined by NAWBO members Lisa Coppola, Esq., founder of The Coppola Firm; Stephanie Gelber, Esq., Managing Attorney, Gelber & O’Connell, LLC; Christine E. B. Howard, founder & president of E. B. Howard Consulting; Andrea Schillaci, Esq., partner, Hurwitz & Fine, P.C.; and Janna Willoughby-Lohr, owner of Papercraft Miracles.

These women are melding their talents to help lift up women business owners who have often been unintentionally overlooked.

“This new task force is an exciting step forward for both NAWBO and the businesswomen of Western New York,” ~ said Paula D’Amico, NAWBO Buffalo Niagara incoming president.

The plan is to set up open house events, informational sessions, outreach programming, and networking opportunities specifically targeting ethnically and culturally diverse women business owners.
