A passionate advocate for promoting educational excellence, social equity, economic growth & development, Janique Curry strongly believes in giving back and serving the public. Mrs. Curry has worked for many years in marginalized communities targeting the need for community-building initiatives through the economic empowerment of Minority & Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) and that work has been focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion for all.

A strategic communicator who is adept at securing partnerships and cultivating strong professional networks of government, non-profit, education, and private industry leaders, she works hard to create generational wealth & legacy for families and business owners. Her goal is to continue to deliver strong, valuable opportunities that produce business development, winning investment strategies, MWBE training, application assistance and financial capacity building that will educate and strengthen the community in WNY and beyond.

Janique is a graduate of Buffalo State College, a NYS Commissioned Notary Public, trained as a Paralegal, and is a licensed Life & Health Insurance Broker. She has been recognized and awarded many honors over the years for her public service. She currently serves on the Erie County/City of Buffalo – Joint Certification Committee (JCC), Chairs the City of Buffalo Common Council MWBE Committee, serves on the Board of Directors for the Buffalo Urban Development Corporation (BUDC), is Vice President of the National Action Network, and as a Silver Life Member of the NAACP is very active on the Civic Engagement & Health Committees. Mrs. Curry has been married to her husband William since 1994 and is the proud mother of one son, JayLin Matthew, and two bonus sons, Aaron and JaQuan.
