Program Overview: Western New York is full of women building something. Businesses. Teams. Careers. Independence. Opportunity. Something entirely their own. And none of us builds alone.
On October 1, the Women’s Business Center at Canisius University is bringing together women entrepreneurs and the people who champion them for SHE BUILDS: A WBC Community Celebration.
This evening is designed for women at every stage of business, whether you are thinking about starting, actively building, ready to grow, or looking for your next opportunity. It is also for the partners, community leaders, and champions who want to see Western New York businesses thrive.
The Experience
- Meet the people. Connect with entrepreneurs from across Western New York, the Women’s Business Center team, new program facilitators, partners, community leaders, and champions who support local businesses.
- Explore the opportunities. Learn about hands-on programs and resources designed to help entrepreneurs launch and grow businesses, increase visibility, access capital, pursue contracts, and strengthen their operations.
- Join the community. Learn more about eNetwork and the ways the Women’s Business Center is creating stronger connections between entrepreneurs and the people who can help them move forward.
- And have a good time. There will be a DJ, drinks, light bites, great people, and, as the WBC promises, short speeches.

Whether that means turning an idea into an actual business, building stronger systems and revenue, preparing for capital, certification or contracts, or developing relationships that go beyond exchanging business cards, there is a place for you in the room.
