Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul

Kick off for our community-based agenda. In light of these unique and challenging times we are all experiencing as business owners and women, New York State Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul joined us live to fill us in on current initiatives and answer questions.

Also joining us was Catherine Shick, Communications Director of FeedMore WNY, to share the work being accomplished at FeedMore WNY and to enlighten us on what we can all do to help.

Nancy Rizzo “Navigating out of the unknown & capturing a positive, pioneering spirit”

Lisa Coppola “NAWBO Sisters Unite”

Our National chapter has built a support network to help us maneuver life and business during these troubling times. Lisa shares with us all the tools you can tap into.

Background: Lisa Coppola is an entrepreneur with a background in advertising and marketing as well as a 25-plus-year career as an attorney partnering with clients in business planning, litigation, and human resources and charter school law. Lisa is a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. For years she’s been named a “Super Lawyer” and has been recognized by Business First as a Legal Elite and Woman of Influence. She was the first WNY attorney to receive the New York Bar Association’s statewide award for outstanding pro bono service.

Lisa is a past President of the Buffalo-Niagara Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners and is a Trustee of the Health Sciences Charter School. She co-owns The English Gardener, Buffalo-Niagara’s premier garden-design company.

Sherrie Barr Mack “Keeping that ZOOM” in your business.

Background: Sherrie is the current President of the NAWBO Buffalo Niagara Chapter. She is the co-creator and Managing Partner for The MackBarr Group where she has been working in partnership with her husband, co-creator Demetrius Mack. The mission of The MackBarr Group is to mentor and support leadership in organizations and small businesses, facilitate social responsibility programs, and establish corporate and community relationships. They consider themselves the Problem-Solving Specialists.

Background: Paula is a Wife, Mother, TV-Producer, Speaker, Teacher, Published Author, owner/creator of Blessings by Nature®, and President-Elect 2019-2020 for the Buffalo Chapter of NAWBO. Paula is also one of the founding members of “Music to Remember” and the Vice President of its Board of Directors. For over a decade, Paula has been creating and educating WNYers and beyond about the power of plants with beautiful sachets, unique living arrangements, and delicious syrups.
